I got home from work today and there were some beautiful flowers in my front yard! I decided to take some pictures of them.... after a little editing, this is what I came up with:

DUDE. I finally got OFF MY BUTT and did something art related... and here's what I've come up with: The first piece is a redesign of my characters for my comic that I plan on illustrating. I know the Aiden doesn't have hands, but they're a pain to draw and I didn't feel like going to the trouble. I mean, hands are awesome once you see the result, but these are just sketches, so I didn't. *laughs*

I really feel that I have been growing as an artist lately, style-wise, and generally as well. I'm drawing and creating things differently and I really like it. I really like these designs and I'm excited to put them into play in an actual comic... if I can just figure out how to do page layouts to my satisfaction..... I SUCK AT LAYOUTS. And that makes me angry. grrrrrr.......

Work is... well.. work-like. I'm going to be really busy tomorrow, but then comes.. THE WEEKEND! AWESOMESAUCE!

Dude! I just got an upgraded deviantArt account. I is excited. xD

I've been AWOL here for a while, and I'm gonna try to change that. :( I haven't done enough art recently and it makes me sad. I'm working on photshop editing etc.... mostly photo-manipulations and stuffs. It's lots of fun. This here blog is sort of an extension of my deviantArt page, so whenever I get some more art done, I'll be sure to post it here as well. Shouldn't be too long, seeing as I have to do laundry tonight and can work on stuff in between.

Life is boring. School starts back today. Meh. Work tomorrow. Derp. It's ok.... just everything seems so repetitive.

I know this is a short entry, but I have to go to class.... eh. *sigh*

New Equipmentz

DUDE! I totally just got an intuos4 tablet. It's amazing... like better than free pizza amazing. It's so sensitive that I'm actually going to have to adjust to using it- I mean... the slightest touch to the active area makes a mark on your digital canvas... the pressure sensitivity literally starts at ZERO. It's incredible.

Furthermore, this mean that I should be arting more, as time allows. Lots more of fun stuff in store. For example... I downloaded Autodesk Sketchbook Express because it came with the tablet and it's awesome.... like, I'm actually going to start using it... unlike I did with Corel- that was pointless unless all you want to do is paint. Meh.

Anyway. School's a drag. Work is good, but work-ish. Had an awesome time with my friends Jen, Catie, and Rumour whom I haven't seen in AGES, but I hope to more often. We went and got my tablet, went to a ginormous mall (my legs felt like they were dying... because I'm so outta shape...) and then went to an awesome Japanese steakhouse and got a BUTTLOAD of food.... but it was good. I can't speak for anybody else, but I had an awesome time, and I hope they did too.

That's all for now. Church today.... meh.

Yes, my room is a horrendous mess... and I have company coming tomorrow. FROM VERMONT. :D I'm really excited to see them, but the mess- OH THE MESS! Not to mention, I have to get Windows 7 installed on nine more computers by Friday. Icky....

Anyway. Still chuggin' on another art piece. I is excited.

THEY NEED TO HURRY UP AND MAKE NEW FRINGE EPISODES! GaH!

I wanted to give an idea of what my artwork is like, so ... here you go.

I just finished this piece a couple of days ago. Some of the proportions are off, but I like it a lot anyway! Enjoy!

So, I've decided to take a leaf out of my good friend Matt and start a blog. Mine will be quite different than his, but his is really cool so I thought I'd give it a try.

This blog will be closely related to my deviantArt journal at deviantArt.com, as it will be focused on art and my attempts to better myself as an artist. In that respect, it'd be really awesome to get comments! I love reading them, and commenting as well. *evil laugh*... I have a strange sense of humor.

Therefore, this blog will also include artwork of mine, as well as my opinion on the artwork of others... I know that sounds bad, but I consider myself very fair and non-biased when it comes to art. So it shouldn't usually be anything too harsh.

Anyway. This is the first entry, so naturally it's going to be short and not very detailed!
